Hello Joseki, Welcome to the forum! You mentioned your from the aBudokan list, a very good one as well. After doing a weeny little bit of research, I have found quite a few explanations of 'Joseki' as follows: I put in 'Joseki' under a google search http://gobase.org/joseki/ - Online dictionery for Go http://senseis.xmp.net/?Joseki - (Go related again) says it means 'settled stones' I put in 'Joseki Grade' http://www.kikusuikai.org.uk/dojoeti.htm - face the shrine or joseki All other documents under this search seemed to say joseki in relation to grading/judges etc I really must get a life! Doing searchs at 8:30am is pretty sad Hope this helps Look forward to hearing more about you and your views. Melanie
Thank you very much for your input and search on it. but its me that needs a life for not getting any sleep and going to bed about 3 in the morning (which is fine if you go out)
I found this on Google... Joseki - The place in a dojo or hall where the seniors or VIP's sit Asian languages are pretty hard to translate directly into English, so a few differences here and there are bound to happen Osu
