   Can anyone tell what the difference is between,
   
   Ishinryu Karate and any of the other styles?
   
   I am a complete novice at all of this ( so no laughing )..

   Mainly stylistic differences.
   
   You will find as much difference between different Isshin ryu schools and schools of different styles.
