His wife's the lift operator? He takes the stairs because the lift doesn't come down to him, he realises that his wife would only fail in her lift-operating duties if something serious had happened?
the guy is a dwarf so he cant reach the button number20, the highest he can reach is 10 as for my other riddle, remember he goes to see his wife and he sees she is dead, so she is still at home. he doesnt take the lift because it wasnt working (it hadnt broken down) so, if it hadnt broken down, yet it wasnt working, what could stop it from working?
OK, slightly grim explanation... She was cut in half by the lift. He sees her severed legs in the lift when he arrives in the lobby and recognises the shoes she was wearing. He goes upstairs so he can kiss her on the cheek or lips or whatever before the ambulance arrives?
no! the wife is definately entirely at home. if you try to work out the question i posted, you'll work out the riddle faster.
Got it! His wife's on life support! The lift isn't working because of a power cut which has also turned off her respirator!
How about this one... At night they come without being fetched, and by day they are lost without being stolen.
well what a crappy answer! why didnt he just wait till he got in his flat to ring the undertakers? just to be sure?...in taking this a bit serious
Hilarious. Stop I can't laugh out loud in my cube at work. Seriously though, I would hope that someone on life support would have some type of a backup generator and other precautions to prevent this.
Ding... got one I am at the beginning of eternity, And the end of time and space. You're looking right at me, What am I?
come on you can find better riddles than that heres a few (probably not much more difficult but oh well): 1."An old man wanted to leave all of his money to one of his three sons, but he didn't know which one he should give it to. He gave each of them a few coins and told them to buy something that would be able to fill their living room. The first man bought straw, but there was not enough to fill the room. The second bought some sticks, but they still did not fill the room. The third man bought two things that filled the room, so he obtained his father's fortune. What were the two things that the man bought?" 2."With pointed fangs it sits in wait, With piercing force its doles out fate, Over bloodless victims proclaiming its might, Eternally joining in a single bite. What am I?" 3." No legs have I to dance, No lungs have I to breathe, No life have I to live or die And yet I do all three. What am I?"
