oh sorry - the test is that im tallying how many view and reply to this thread:

Alternative hypothesis:
The majority of users who view a thread with the title 'n00b' will also submit a reply.

Null hypothesis:
Any differences between numbers of viewers and repliers is down to chance only, not the significance of including the internet abbreviation 'n00b' in the title.

Once the thread is locked, i will evaluate the findings with a statistical analysis using a T-test or Chi-sqaured working to perceive the standard deviation for both mean averages from repliers and viewers.

If a T-test produces a number below 0.05 then we can accept the hypothesis - if not, then the null hypothesis may be more acceptable.

The key used will be:

0.05 = 1/20 chance
0.01 = 1/100 chance
0.001 = 1/1000 chance

i.e. a T-test socre of 0.001 means theres a 1 in 1000 chance of the null hypothesis being the cause of the results (chance)

in that case, the alternative hypothesis is accepted.

...in the space of what time have you written 94 posts and I have written 1,200 ? I think I took considerably longer getting my posts than you did yours. I remember only seeing you on here a couple of days ago.


EDIT: Just checked, you joined three days ago, that makes 31 posts/day. I get about 4 posts/day since 28.th of November. So yes, you do seem to have an awful lot of time on your hands.
