So, I have to profess my love for a technique that is relatively new to me, and damn...does it work exceptionally well. So for the last couple months, I've been playing with the estima lock. For those of you who aren't familiar with the technique, it is a nasty foot lock that you can get from anyone that plays open guard on you. Yesterday, I went to a seminar hosted by the one and only Edwin Najmi who is one of the best BJJ competitors in the world at 168lbs. The topic covered in the seminar was the estima lock. Learned how to hit it to attack the foot, how to use it to attack the knee, learned what he called the estima lock 2.0, how to hit it from 50/50 and a defense. I gotta say that it is probably one of my favorite foot lock attacks now. It is fundamentally sound and absolutely devastating. Does anyone else play with or use the estima lock?
