It's easy to post about bad things that happen, I see plenty of posters on this forum with a good outlook despite hardship in their lives. To ride out the crest of 2018, post the top major (if you can keep it to one) positive outcome of this year to you or your family peers. I became an uncle twice (first time in September, second time last week!).
Martial Arts - Finally earned my Black Sash in CLF. Work - participated in re-writing a procedures manual that was way outdated in a committee I am on. And saw two of my trainee's succeed in getting promoted!
MA- earned my fourth dan, and received my school's top service award at the end of the year (a lovely surprise) Work- took off term 4 on long service leave; magic!
Became a parent to multiple children, somehow survived our first year, they're thriving, my partner is still in one piece, and I'm still training at least once a week! Result!
Last year I spent Christmas with just me and my mum. This year it was me, Mum, Dad, girlfriend, brother and his girlfriend. Much better end of year.
I got through my first full year in London, and I finally feel like I've found my feet here (I'm a long way from home). Also found a wrestling club that I love, yay
Pretty much the only thing I can think of: The doggie. Getting the pup was the best idea for quite a while; even though he still manages to drive me crazy he also sort of keeps me sane.
