For those of you who missed them, here's: - Episode 9: Yodsanklai vs Naruepol http://videos.muaythai.me/video/The-Contender-Asia-Episode-9 - Episode 10 part 1: Joachim vs Sean Wright http://videos.muaythai.me/video/Sean-Wright-vs-Joakim-Karlsso - Episode 10 part 2: http://videos.muaythai.me/video/Sean-Wright-vs-Joakim-Karlsso-2
And here's today's episode, in case you miss it later on... I won't reveal who is fighting: Episode 11, part 1 Episode 11, part 2
I'm not really sure where and when this is shown but it seems that both episode 12, 13 and 14 are on YouTube already.
That fight went on at least half a round too long. The Swiss guy is going to be sucking jello through a straw by the time he's 50. He may not stay down but his brain must be getting mashed. Tough dude.
That was a proper schooling Zidov received... Awesome display of skills by John Wayne Parr... may well have been the most exciting fight of the series so far!
JWP looked better in this fight! i bet he didnt go to hospital but to thailand for a few weeks! anyone else think the Yodsanklai vs Naruepol fight was a bit staged, in the fact that Naruepol was maybe told that if they both fight before the final, let Yod win as he has better chance to win the whole thing and best not get him hurt?
naw, I think he just didnt want to hit him as they are good friends. JWP was looking great form, zidov has great heart and great spirit, he gained a LOT of respect from that fight.
I got fed up trying to watch this series. Every time i got home someone else in my family was already glued to the Sky+ watching something boring (either extreme makeover type crap or baseball on Setanta!). So i watched all the fights to the end on YouTube! Really enjoyed the final too. Won't reveal who wins, but i think you have a good idea by the final few fights.
It's a shame Sean went out but it was odds on to happen. That first uppercut really took it out of him and he just ran.
I have barely watched it, again, this time so some of the fights are hazy but from what i remember of this bout, Sean just froze. He didnt seem like the same fighter, although the quality of his oppenent may have played on his mind
Yep... cracking uppercut; but I think it was the big roundhouses that did the damage, and caused Sean to open up a little... Tonight's episode: - Episode 14, part 1 - Episode 14, part 2 - Episode 14, part 3
You might be right. After that he resorted to how he used to fight as a kid, standing still with a funny head angle waiting to counter. I think he'd given up then.
