It would seem that a person with the speed of a sprinter and the endurance of a distance runner would excel.
You guys have gotten my curiosity going. I found this. http://www.topendsports.com/testing/records/shuttle-run.htm Looks like soccer, rugby, middle distance, basketball players are all represented. Interesting.
We did it awhile back, I got 8.7 :bang::bang: Its interesting though, a guy from my gym gets about 14-15 on it, and is generally much fitter than me acording to most exercies, can do more burpies etc, yet I'm in better shape than him when in sparring, I can spar more rounds more intensely and get less tired.
I use this app when teaching indoors, as it includes the 15 metre test, as well as the 20 metre. http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/bleep-test-pro/id311628148?mt=8 This was the first beep test app I used. http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/beep-test/id313070492?mt=8
He must be tense as hell when he's sparring! Next time I do the beep test, I'm going to try a different technique. Instead of pacing myself so I just make the beeps, I'm going to sprint so I have a second to catch my breath at each end. I wonder if that would help...
I got 11 something my last one, was so ****ed off until someone reminded me I am 48, overweight and have survived cancer and hepC. It sounds a little better then.
