    Good advice as usual

    I find it helps to focus your eyes on a spot on the wall or floor.

    A drill my master likes to have the class do is one legged stances with your eyes closed. It makes you really work to feel to adjust your balance. And yes, bending your base leg knee is essential. If you think standing up with knee straight straight on one leg is bad, try it with your eyes closed, your pons goes nuts.

    I can see how keeping your eyes closed helps you find balance, but the only problem is when it comes time for the 90 degree pivot before the push kick. You might need to keep your eyes open to make sure you don't pivot more or less than 90 degrees.

    I don't think we've ever done it with kicks. Only one legged stances and kick chambers.
