Oh god that looks to emotional for me. Really don't want to cry in the cinema.

Mushroom De-powered to come back better than before.

    Going back to it.

Capt just fought some Klingons. Good to see the double axe handle strikes are still in play...

So, yesterday I watched "Maleficent" and wondered, when Elle Fanning became that old.
Now I see that trailer, and wonder when Dakota Fanning grew up :D

Looks like an interesting movie, for sure.
Makes me feel a bit disappointed, that I only go to the cinema for special occasion.

EDIT: Oh, and just saw, that Monday will come a new episode!

I'm watching Stargate SG-1 in the meantime. Forgot how good it was. The weird part is when the credits come up I can't help but hear the guy from Skype One talking over them about the Simpsons.....

I think T'pol (well Jolene B anyway) appears in one of the later spin offs.

Not that I have any fixation there.......

So anyway, I liked the film, but the episodes were a bit too formulaic for me, what were the later episodes like?

Great, now I want to watch "Deep Space Nine".
And I don't have the time, since I must play "Horizon" :p
And should work on my program for my bluebelt.
And some work for the kids classes.

Damn it, I shouldn't have started thinking.

Does make me better than Trump though, right?:confused:

    Back on topic

Finally finished watching Discovery. Quite liked the groundhog day ep. (It seems every Trek/Scifi ep needs a Groundhog Day ep)

I was also thinking how they were going to explain away the Spore Drive. But also, shows like this just creates more plot holes for the future Treks.
    - Why did Sarek never mention Michael to Spock?
    - Why did Spock never mention Michael in his conversations with Kirk?
    - Theres clearly an android recruit pre Data!
    - No one is using a variation of the Spore Drive or further research into the Spore theory

Honestly think, as i said before. ST Universe needs to go forward with their Universe and not try and cram in history. This can easily be a post Picard Universe.

Unless this is a parrallel Universe...which is an easy out.

    And another update:

The kid who originally played Alexander (Worf Jr) Jon Paul Steuer, has passed away at the age of 33 on 1st Jan. He left acting to be a musician.

Even thought I thought I knew which episode you meant (due to the "every SciFi has it ) I really had to google "Groundhound Day".

    That's what I wondered too.
But I guess you could use the "this subject didn't come up" excuse, but it would be rather... meh.

    I'm absolutely there with you.
There would have had no need at all, to set it that early instead of afterwards.
Okay, maybe the little swearing would have seemed off, but if that were to be the biggest problem...

    It always is :D ;)

At first I thought Brian Bonsall.
But doesn't make it any better obviously.

Wonder what he died off at this age.
Given that he opened a vegan restaurant, I somehow don't see it being drugs.
But that could be, because I'm biased towards vegans (so to speak; I'm missing better wording here)

Guess, it would match what was hinted at.

I know but when Sarek was dying and going deep into mental illness. He was babbling about everything. And considered he married a Human and raised a human, who seemed to be his pride and joy before Spock. It would've come up, when Spock was looking after him with a... "By the by, you had a human sister. Died of old age before you hit the Vulcan School of Everything. You might've met her. She was the human sitting opposite you at the dinner table and was by my side for 20yrs. I made your highly emotional Human mother promise never to talk about her"

Plot holes bigger than a sumo wrestler's bulking meal.

    :D

Who knows, maybe Spock had some sort of memory loss.
    Or repression.

    ;)
But as I mentioned, I totally agree.
I really like the idea of a human child raised by Vulcans (geesh, I dreamed of that! ), I really like Sarek - but there was no need, to take his character or that time frame, where the show is set.
