I injured my foot training BJJ early Feb and have only had one PT since then, partly due to the injury and partly through loosing focus and being worried about getting injured. However anxiety has started to creep back into my life so I'm giving myself a kick up the backside and getting back to it as BJJ, for me, is a fantastic anti-anxiety activity and it took me a lot of courage to get started in the first place so I don't want to waste that effort. Additionally, I work alone so I don't want to become a hermit!

I'll include details of any cross training here, where applicable, too just incase it's of any interest to anyone as I also enjoy mountain biking and climbing.

So, back on the mats on Tuesday, which is the next available class.

A quick recap on this last week to get the ball rolling.

    Mon: Rest
Tue: MTB: Early morning 12 mile MTB on road, hill work and steady cadence.

    Thu: Rest

Ok I'm not doing too well at this but I did win a mountain bike cross country race on Sunday so I'm happy with that. Still no BJJ training since my last post though, it's getting away from me.

A steady week getting ready for race on Sunday. Still 2 climbing sessions and 3 rides.

    Mon: Rest
Tue: Bouldering at the Churnet / 50 mins bike on turbo.
    Wed: Rest
    Thu: Rest
Fri: Bouldering at the Roaches. Got on Too Drunk, feels hard but I reckon I can do it with a bit of time. Tweaked pulley in left hand ring finger.
Sat: 14 mile preparation ride opening up the legs for tomorrow's race.
Sun: Summer Classic MTB XC race. Came 1st! I've never been on a podium before so I'm really happy with this! More importantly my planning and preparation was really good for this and my main goal was to complete the race in good style and stick to my plan, which is what I did. The win is the cherry!
