Sprint whilst holding your Breath?

    cheeta's don't breath when they do max sprint, that is mostly because of their anatomy, and allows for max range of movement, they also spend the next 15mins after catching the prey just sitting their cathing up on breath. Could this anerobic ability translate to human anatomy? I'm sure it does to a certain degree for short fast movement, but it isn't sustainable for much time, thats for certain.

    anaerobics if i remember increase the production of lactic acid which provides quick releases of energy (before it gets painful and we start feeling the burn).

    And still when we do anaerobic things like flurries of strikes we breathe in huffs and puffs and then hold our breaths. So holding the breath for the duration of the sprint makes sense. It is a sprint after all not a marathon.
