Speed !!!!!!!

    I would like to ask some things about increasing speed.

    Reflexes speed
    Body movement like punshing


    What kind of excersizes you could do increases that at home. :confused:

    about reflexes, you can't change that, it's something you're born with. you can, however, change your sensitivity to visual and physical stimuli (ie an approaching punch, kick or takedown attempt), and in that case, you will react faster to an opponent's attacks. to do this, just spar alot, and do many drills with a training partner. eventually you'll become more sensitive to approaching attacks and defend more naturally. you'll also begin to recognize patters in their movement, and hence, will be able to predict incoming attack patterns. this type of reading takes years to learn though, so be patient.

    to increase your movement speed there's many things you can do. first off, i'd say start weight training to increase your general strength. once you're reasonably strong you can start to move into more speed-strength/power exercises. ever heard of plyometrics? basically you'd want to use a light to moderate weight, medicine ball, or your own bodyweight (really depends what you're working), and do the lift/jump/technique as fast as you can.
    drills with hitting pads and bagwork also increase your punching and kicking speed.
