I thought his ability to recall and detail events was impressive, probably part of being a police officer. Also his varying awareness of his surroundings at different points, particularly of multiple attackers, was interesting.

The effect of adrenalin on both him and the scumbags was interesting. Both were able to keep functioning for some time after significant injuries. Worth pondering for those interested in the self-defence applications of martial arts.

I think it validates more the chaos and randomness and violence of real situations. The guys just going for it doing whatever needs doing in the moment and whatever the situation allows him to do using whatever he has .Things are going wrong, things miss, things hit, he's getting hit, they are getting hit. There's no special techniques being used...no fancy stuff. Elements of luck .Basic fundamentals of whatever he has learned coupled with his mindset and an element of ad libbing and riffing off the situation with those basic fundamentals. Not even sure fully afterwards what he did at times.

A stark contrast to those who almost brag about their situations and say they did this technique and that technique in detail from this style and that style and came out without a scratch.
