    Ah nice shots... fight shots always look class in b/w.
    The white fighter at the top is one of the Magomedov brothers from Russia.
    His name is Magomed Magomedov... I think he's Arslans Magomedovs bro or at least a cousin - edit.. yes he is brothers with both Arslan and Alipdek Magomedov. They're from ethnic Caucasian Avars from Dagistan province which border Chechnya and they're Muslims. Quite shy actually... their English is not very good yet... really nice blokes the lot of them.. at least out of the ring.. :D.

    Interesting. I wondered who he was.

    Since you've got your encyclopedia head on, what happened to Alexei Ignashov, btw. Is he still fighting in K1?

    I've never followed Alexei Ignashov all that much... but he is a big powerful boy that's for sure. He did however have a bit of a hard time dealing with the much lighter Kaoklai Kaennorsing in the 2004 K-1.

    Check the numbers:
    That's a massive weight and height difference!!! :eek:

    Check it out:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2woExNPTYso&mode=related&search=]Part 2[/ame]

    That ranks up there for me as one of the all time classic K-1 matchups!! :D

    Alexei Ignashov recently (2006) fought Gary Goodridge (who I can't stand)... I've not actually watched it... but [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLYF5EWnrX4&mode=related&search=]here[/ame] it is.

    edit: ok just watched it... much as I suspected... Goodridge sucks. A flatfooted mug if ever there was one. Zero strategy. None.

    Ignashov looks like hell here... well out of shape... but he's clearly the smarter fighter of the two. He's got a heck of alot more skill than does Goodridge... Iw ouldn't doubt if Ignashov has been through a fair amount of boxing... he used standard boxing technique to good effect against Goodridge.

    haha.. I can't believe I'm reviewing a fight this old. :D

    Here's another one I found hilarious...

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4T6layh2CU&mode=related&search=]Alexei Ignashov VS Dr. Death[/ame]

    and here's an interesting one.. Ignashov looks tiny by comparison to Semmy 'Hightower' Schilt... lol... but he owns him something fierce!! :eek:

    and the last one for the night... a great little fight... from sometime back. Badr Hari is very game and gives a good accounting for himself given that he took this fight where he gives away a lot of weight to the heavier Ignashov on a weeks notice. :eek: - very well fought.

    Badr Hari vs Alexei Ignashov

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--tFGqReM98]Part 2[/ame]

    So weird... until this thread came up Ignashov had been pretty much completely off of my radar. Wow... just goes to show ya.

    Outside of the the muslim Russian fighters... I think most Russians pretty much pride themselves on just more than a 'drop' of the hardstuff. :D
