I'm not a weapons guru, so am very interested in expertise from the forum. I have heard of a weapon used in a martial art from a region of India. THe person who spoke to me was a native of the region and seen the weapon in demonstration. As described, the weapon is a coil of thin metal attached to a handle, sort of like a coiled whip. When the the handle is grasped and the weapon is flicked outward the coil unfurls. After the ribbon (spring) of metal unfurls, it coils back again. The weapon is said to have a unique sound as it coils/uncoils, and as it passes through the air. It is not a thrown weapon, rather it is used in movements similar to how a whip would be used. I have been unsuccessful in finding any information at all about the weapon, but have been intrigued by the description for years. Again, your help is appreciated in advance. CF
