Hmmm... not sure if this is falls into what you are looking for or not, but there are probably lots of metal songs about swords and swordfighting. I can think of a few offhand, but I mention this cause it has Ninja in the title: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXYkv4g435Q"]DragonForce - Power of the Ninja Sword - YouTube[/ame]
Ridiculous as it might be, this one gets me going: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ATZYW8e_do"]Whitesnake - Wings Of The Storm - YouTube[/ame] (It's Whitesnake - Wings of the Storm)
no, i've never seen any of the incarnations. honestly, when i was a teenager, even if i knew when/where they were playing (remember it was the 80's), i was too scared to go to one of their shows. also per your other comment, some bands should just know when to call it quits.
It's caused a lot of controversy. I grew up with BF and they "changed my life, maaaaan". I don't think I could see them play. I was supposed to see them over summer but I decided not to. I choose TSOL and a band called The Stitches (a fave of mine) instead. Yeah. Best just to let it go sometimes instead of becoming a laughing stock. It's a shame.
not sure if i know of any strictly rock ones, but here's some melodeath about viking fighting [ame="www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvDbo1OVo0s"]Amon Amarth - Runes to my Memory - YouTube[/ame]

I can only think of two. One by The Cramps called "The crusher" which is more about weird S&M dancing imo, and a Pantera song where Phil says "footwork" I know he's a big boxing fan so I assume he's talking about boxing footwork. *edit* My bad, it seems the cramps were in fact covering the novas' song that somebody already added!
It's about a pro-wrestler called The Crusher....You turkey neck! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Crusher_(wrestler) Had to ask a friend who did this "Jackie Chan" song. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWqY8qrBBSI&feature=kp"]Ash - Kung Fu[/ame]

me too. hip-hop and hardcore changed my life back then. i did see rollins band open up for jane's addiction on the ritual de lo habitual tour. that was a trip. at chicago's aragon ballroom, also known as "the brawlroom" because of the acts they brought.
Oh wait! I got one, it's barely classable as Rock and Roll though :$ [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7BxKC9RmiU"]Circular Karate Chop - They Might Be Giants (official song) - YouTube[/ame] Thanks Simon, I was trying to work out how to do that!
I never liked Henry Garfield (haha) in BF except a single he sang on (the B-side to TV party is a rager. First thing I bought and heard). I always prefered Morris or Dez. The first couple of Rollins solo things are good though. Can't stand him as a person! Mr Pouty. I've never seen Jane's Addiction live.
