Two little words are enough to make me steer well clear: Guy Ritchie. After seeing the ridiculous and totally over-hyped 'Lock Stock... etc' I don't want to see another of his pathetic 'Cockney crime capers' ever again.
IMO, he's only made one good film and that is of course "snatch". and i agree johnno, lock stock and two smoking barrels wasn't any good.
I think it could have been good but he tried to make it too clever so it just seemed like when someone is trying to talk about something that they actualy know nothing about. Oh, and wheres the credits!!!!!!
Yes i agree. He was trying to make some sort of cult classic, the film had the potential to be great but there was no character build up and the plot was practically impossible to follow.
I would have to say I liked Lock Stock.. and really liked snatch. Thought however he had an over inflated opinion of his abilitys when the did revolver - far too much in one film - smacks of trying too hard to be too clever...
