So, who makes good quality knee pads these days? Could you recommend any? Due to previous knee injury, quality and protection are more important than price. Knee support would be a bonus.
Standard volleyball pads are great if it's protection you want, if it's as a support after injury Bauerfeind genutrain are excellent, but as you already know, it's not good to wear them too much as your knee will get weaker, I've had to wean myself off wearing mine all the time, and now just use vulkan supports to give a little stability, which I aim to stop using regularly soon.
I found this review of different knee pads for MMA and martial arts. Venum comes well reviewed, with half a dozen different knee pads for MMA. Shock Doctor seems well rated too, with a wide range of knee pads for MMA. However, I was surprised not to see Cliff Keen wrestling knee pads in the review. I’d have thought wrestling knee pads would be identical to MMA knee pads. It seems there’s quite a good choice of knee pad!
