Really weird but good thing

    A couple days ago when I was stretching I was going to down to stretch my leg in a split position and as I am slowly dopping my to go down i feel somthing wierd but not pain ful in my legs then all of the sudden i drops down farther and can now almost (just 3 inches away) from doing the splits and I can do the splits perfectly vertically. Has this ever happend to any of you guys?

    what, where something just gives and down you go? Not to me, though I wouldn't mind it (I think).

    Are you sure it wasn't just your trousers splitting? :D :eek: :D

    That kind of happened to me when I was learning the splits. Except I felt some pain. Not alot though. :)

    Im 17 and Eddy, I am a male so I think that rules out hymen tearing.

    Hmmm this never happened to me when I finally got the splits.

    lol and lol.....what i meant was my splits are not that good.......the max i go down is 7 inches off the ground!

    YES! This is the part that everyone seems to miss when it comes to stretching. Every one "Tries to stretch", this is counterproductive. Stretching is a "letting go", its a "not doing". When you "try" you are by definition contracting the muscles. The dropping was a release of the muscles that you are stretching, let me guess; you were stopped and waiting in a stretched position, concentrating on your breathing and it just happened. Right?

    yep, It has only been a week but now after about 15 minutes of warming up i can do it, plus I can almost do a jean claude van damme split kick!

    I've never attempted the splits.
    What's the best(?) way, is it one leg in front, one behind or spreading them left and right?
    Sorry if that sounds odd, but hopefuly you'll know what i mean
