I felt so lucky with so many fight events scheduled one after the other and now they are getting postponed in the same order. The boxing match between Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter is also postponed. And I could live without watching that one, but RDA's pulling out of all things.. March suddenly got empty.
Hey, he was sledging the tire and his foot just happened to get in the way. It has nothing to do with the fact that he's afraid of losing to McGregor
Aldo said no, not trained. Edgar says he's injured. Diaz is a maybe apparently Cerrone said he would fight in London if allowed.
I doubt McGregor could cut down to 145 so late in the day, so its only lightweights who are in fighting shape who can be expected to step in. Does anyone know if Cerrone had a medical suspension after the Oliveira fight?
Cerrone was completly uninjured. Would be easier for conor to fight at WW than for Cerrone to cut back down to LW.
Me too, Diaz also needs the money, if he were a clever man, it would give him enough to give up fighting, but we know that's not going to happen.
Is MMA even a sport at this point? It's just a carnival sideshow. Roll up, roll up....see some people fight..maybe. Until people sort out this "training enough to be good but not training so hard you get injured" balance there's no point looking to future events. Just tune in on the night, see who climbs into the ring and be thankful at least someone made it to the cage in one piece.
Chanel Sonnen you say.... Smells like pro wrestling you say. So just like Monday morning at any other office
It's pretty low to accuse fighters of faking an injury. Or insinuate it. A professional athlete has the nerve to go through a whole camp and then pull out? Get real. This of course won't stop McGregor from slaying him the next time he speaks publicly.
Unless he's a coyote I don't think he's going to chew his own leg off . I was parodying the eventual button pushing we both know is forthcoming.
http://www.foxsports.com.au/ufc/ufc...d/news-story/ee35ff2174837e1dc9a80a2859d1a15e Looks like Conor vs diaz is on at WW. Wicked!
And it's going to be a welterweight bout too! McGregor is fighting 2 weight-classes above his own instead of one. So aiming for Lawler after RDA wasn't just talk.
I think Connor right now, has the biggest balls in the UFC, he may well eventually regret it, if it all goes south, but Jesus you can't deny his self belief. He's fighting 2 weight categories above his own, and has people refusing to fight him left right and centre. A couple more big paydays and he can retire a legend.
The press conference between Conor and Nate was great. Non user friendly video removed Starts at 28 mins
Not to take that away from him but Diaz is fighting above weight too. It's just both guys fighting at natural weight
