I have a weird thing in my left foot that I will see a doctor about as soon as I have a chance. For now though, i will have to settle for the opinions of my learned MAP contemporaries.

I have broken my left foot about 4 or ive times in many different places, and have torn the ligaments badly countless times. However, now when i tear the ligaments, I do not feel pain, and have once actually rtun a half marathon without knowing that the ligaments were torn until after the race. This has happened thre times, and i am stumped as to what it might be.

    What are your opinions.

This is not entirely unheard of, depending upon thel ligaments torn and the amount of nerves and muscles involved you may not feel a tear at all. I have witnessed soccer matches where teammates tore the ACLs and continued playing quite easily. They would even play other games afterwards on a tourney weekend, it would not be till the following day when their knees looked like grapefruits they knew something was wrong.
Though this is just exp. not true medical knowledge on the subject.
