let me tell you a voting story. Once upon a time, there was a town who was having an election. The mayor, who no one really likes, was running against a little 19 year old noob, a rookie. I was gonna vote for the noob, because I hate the current mayor. But when voting time came, I listened to someone 'dont vote for a noob, hes a noob' so I left that part of my ballot blank. When the results came
in, the two were tied. They wound up drawing a name from a hat and the one who is the mayor now, is the one who no one really liked. probably the 50% who voted for him were nervous of voting for a 19 year old noob, not cause they thought the current mayor is any good. Too this day I still kick myself in the ass for not voting. If'n I had, the dumb mayor would have lost. My vote would have been the deciding one.

So I enourage all my american friends to vote on Nov 6. You might not think your vote counts, but all votes do.

for the record, I think romney is a thunderdouche, and I hope obama wins. Not saying obama dont lie (they're all politicians and its practically a job requirement these days lol), but i think he's a better than romney.( as well the republican party, well something must have been put into the US waters over the past while because of all the dumb things the various candidates have been saying) But even if you're a romney supporter, as I wrote, please vote.

You have 50 flavoured of doughnuts, 50 choices for Miss America, and two choices for president; only it's not really choice, just the illusion of choice.

Well here we are day before elections as I sit in my office looking over at my neighbors house and I see the US flag displayed proudly out front, I get a very good feeling of patriotism.

Normally I would not take notice of the flag because I see them everywhere, but this one is special. The person flying this flag is the reason it's special you see he has been run out of an adjacent town be cause he ran a junk yard out of his home. He moved next to my business, which is in a residential area. He was working at a factory that manufactures batteries used in military equipment, not just the US military, but British as well, in fact my son in law went to England to help train the workers in their factory over there. Anyway the middle east winds down the demand for military batteries lessons and my neighbor gets laid off. He falls back on what he knows and starts junking cars and anything he can beg barrow and yes even steal. During the process he ends up with alot of junk and tires around his property.

Of course the local people are all up in arms to get him removed or clean up the junk, mind you the only thing illegal are the tires. He get's tickets and has to go to court. At the end of the day he finally removes the tires and cleans the place up a little. He try's to fix up an old garage on the property that the roof had fallen in, of course the building inspector quickly condemned the building as soon as he fixed it up because it wasn't built to code.

My point is this I have no idea what political party he belongs to or who he's going to vote for, but if anyone had a reason to be a little upset with the status quo and not participate in this country politically or patriotically he would be understandably justified. Oh yea and he happens to be black in predominately white community.

So yes vote tomorrow, I know he will. But vote for your vision of America not what someone on TV or someone from a different country suggests. It's been awhile since the country has been as polarized as it is, we have two very distinct choices. I wouldn't attempt to guess who will prevail, but if you want your guy to win you better vote.

    Regards

I think we would be beter off with Romney. He is not perfect but at least hes not a damn Marxist like Obama.
Here in Flordia the race always comes down to the wire, a winner by the slimmest of margins. North Florida is republican, south Florida is democrat and central Florida where i am is mixed. It is our region that decides it. If Romeny can win Florida he stands a good chance of winning the election, especially if he can win some of the other battleground states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and his home state of Michigan.
I'm predicting a Romney win by a narrow margin. If i'm wrong ill eat crow.

Calling Obama Marxist may be a little over the top but he certainly is a socialist anyway. Romney on the other hand, is a staunch captialist, a succesful businessman who understands the economy and knows how to balance a budget. In business you either balance the budget or go out of business. Mitt would be better from a policy standpoint. That is why i support Romney for president.

I present North Korea as exhibit A of how well Marxist ideology works.

Not really. Obama and Romney are both fairly right wing in comparison to most politicians around the world. He has a couple of socialist-esque policies, but he's definitely not a socialist.

You'd be surprised at how few successful businessmen actually understand the economy, I feel.

North Korea is effectively a feudal state. It's run as a cult of personality based around a "royal" family who claim divine mandate.

Communism isn't the same as modern democratic socialism and North Korea isn't the same as communism.

Guess I'll jump in on this one and urge all Americans to vote as well. I am less than thrilled about either choice for president but probably both are better than previous President George W. Bush who was a major douche nozzle (I attribute my new found vocabulary to Blade96 ).

What are equally important are proposals and local or state candidates. There are a few proposals in my own state that will protect the rights of special interests and inhibit future economic growth. I have to believe that other states are facing similar critical initiatives as we have six in Michigan alone.

Voting is for more than just who gets to occupy the White House. There are a few truly worthwhile candidates out there who deserve to be elected. There are also a few despicable characters out there that should not be allowed to hold office ever again. That idiot running for Senate from Missouri springs to mind.

If you can vote, educate yourself on the candidates and issues & get out tomorrow or your complaints will be hollow afterwards.

There are twelve proposed amendments to the Florida constitution we will be voting on. Also i will be voting in the senate race, voting for county sheriff, voting on whether to keep three Florida justices, etc. It is important to vote in your state and local elections because those offices can have more immediate effect on you than the white house.

I wonder what level of turnout there will be. Obviously it will probably be a lot lower than usual in areas badly affected by Hurricane Sandy, but I don't suppose that will make a big dent in the overall total.

This could be another historic US presidential election. Last time they elected the first non-white President, and this time they could potentially elect the first non-Christian. (I believe that Mormons regard themselves as being Christian, but I don't think anyone else does.) I'm actually quite surprised that there doesn't seem to be more made of that fact, but I think that's a good thing.
