In June this year Simon organised a fantastic day of training to raise money for charity. Planning for the 2016 event is underway, but before I announce the details the moderator team have asked that the MAP community be able to choose this year's charity. The moderators came up with a diverse list of worthy causes and I'd appreciate it if you could vote for your favourite up until 1700 Zulu 30 November 2015.

You can vote for more than one charity and voting will be anonymous.

    Here are the nominated charities:

    Combat Stress

    Act Against Bullying

    National Deaf Children’s Society

    Headway Devon

    Life after Paralysis

    The Mankind Initiative

    Shelter

    Winnicott Foundation

The charity with the most votes will be selected the winner. In the event of a tie the moderators will each choose a charity and play croquet to determine a winner (or choose via some other impartial process).

Yep, my vote for Shelter put it in the lead.

While no-one would want to deal with any of the issues our charities cater for it's now heading into winter in the UK.

Today it snowed and here in Kent it's currently damned cold.

I'm lucky, as I have the central heating on.

I'm off to a gig tonight. I'll have the heating on in the car.

    Shelter got my vote.

Five days left, and shelter is still in the lead!

Can't believe only 20 people so far have an opinion. :) Even if you can't make it, even if you aren't donating, please share your preferred choices by voting! We want to represent you. :)

    Two days of voting left!

Shelter still has the most votes. :)

Full details yet to come but there's going to be...
Yoshinkan Aikido, FMA, Judo, Ju Jitsu, Karate, Kickboxing/Muay Thai, MMA and Wrestling instructors all giving up their time for free to raise money for the charity that gets the most votes!

Voting closes Monday at 1700 Zulu.

Only 21 people have voted! We'll go with the majority, regardless of how many people have voted, but please register your interest in the charities by voting, even if your first choice looks as if it can't win. Your votes will help inform future charitable choices. :)
