Just 20 days till they kick off I must say I am looking forward to the judo, but there is fencing and archery on a MA tip I find these games a lot less cynical and in keeping with the Olympic ideal that the standard games http://www.london2012.com/paralympics/schedule-and-results/
A long time friend of my girlfriend will be competing for Canada in the womens wheelchair racing so for once I mayactually watch
I know what you mean. If you're not actually there, but just watching on telly then all the corporate bollocks is much less in your face. i was sick of the Olympics long before it began, and wasn't sure if i would bother watching any of it, but once it started and it came down to one competitor or team against another, then all the hoo-ha didn't seem to matter any more.
Only problem is the choice of sponsor,Atos Origin,a company that has driven genuinely disabled people to suicide with its flawed WCA. In fact the BMA has desribed the test as unfit for purpose. When I heard they were sponsoring the Paralympics I thought it was a sick joke.

This is not the case, at least where I am. There is only one channel and they are hardly showing the sport bit at all.
The catch up isn't as good as the BBC coverage, but still some good coverage of the paralympics on Channel 4. Been watching the Judo today, well done Ben Quilter!
Michael Bisping's Brother may be competing in the athletics. (Shotputt i think) Conrad Bisping...who was blinded by a explosive device while serving in the Army. This was taken by a recent QA where he talked about the Hector Lombard fight
We're going to watch the athletics including the shotput finals, so hopefully we'll see some Bisping action
Watched most of the judo yesterday and quite a bit of the track cycling. Judo was a heck of a lot better than the olympic judo and watching some of the cyclists who only have one leg was inspirational.
Well...I've seen some amazing things in my time but this just takes the biscuit. Awesome. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=df67gHjSNnE&feature=player_embedded"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=df67gHjSNnE&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
Awesome just isn't good enough to describe it, a new word needs to be created! There has been some amazing events, so excited about going on Saturday!
