Open Kickboxing politics

    It's not about the number of competitions you enter, but the quality of the competitions you enter.

    YES and fairly matched fights are the way to go.
    Trainers should be looking after their fighters and managing them properly not chucking them in at the deep end thinking that getting **** kicked out of them does them good.

    Politics are so wrong in tournaments. I don't think you can avoid them but thats the way it is. The last tournament I was in back home I was acting as a ring judge and heard a mom complain aobut the 'home rules' that were going on. I asked her what she meant and she complained that the refs were biased towards the home school athletes. She shut up after I pointed out that 5 out of the 7 Grand Champion trophies went to non-host athletes.
