    That's the spirit!

I personally avoid talking about politics at all cost, it always ends in the claws coming out, hardly seems worth it when we have a great health and fitness section to occupy us.

Kist saw you got your CSCS in your sig, that's pretty cool, I'm specialising in strength and conditioning in my degree and hope to get on the Brit version when I've graduated.

i've looked at them, i suck so bad at the oly lifts that i wonder if its really worth it though!

speaking of which, i've been threatening to learn them forever.

i was under the impression that the CSCS taught in the UK was given a different title?

    They've got a UKSCA version.
but i remember seeing the CSCS schedule and the had courses in glasgow under NSCA which is the american one. They are apparently different.

CSCS is pretty much the gold standard cert. The CMMACC I have can be used as a CEU for the CSCS. I opted for the CMMACC, as it is currently the only legitimate martial arts training cert you can get. Wouldn't be bad to have both.

Woke up sore and feeling like a feeble old man after a pretty intense night of karate training. Went to the pool and sat in the hot tub for ten minutes and swam for 15. Left feeling like Bruce Lee. Amazing what warming up the body and flushing out the system through some light exercise can do.

    i was gonna say:
feeling like bruce lee? what? you feel dead?

    but its inappropriate.

lucky you got a hot tub.
do sauna 's work in the same way?

It should do yeah, anything that causes vasodilation will help flush the crap out.
However remember that getting your body that hot for longer periods of time can do bad things to your gentleman's area and reduce T levels.

The light exercise will defiantly of helped a lot too, I gentle run after leg day is a life saver if you have an active job that involves standing up a lot!

Didn't mean to answer for you nek, and glad your feeling looser.

Yeah i used swim lightly for vasodilation.
I always thought that heat could be a bit counter productive to the ice packing of sore muscles?

yeah i noticed the gentleman's area thing after the suana.
a friend told me they read a study on avoiding ejaculation for a month raises your t levels. i think its rubbish but i havent seen the study and im afraid im quite bias.
    do you think its true?

Here is an article on the subject of heat and cold (cryo) therapies. You can alternate between the two to really flush stuff out. In other words ice something for twenty minutes and then treat it with heat. I believe muscle soreness will always respond best to heat, as this tends to relax things.

As for the t levels, I can't imagine that the minimal amount of elevation if any would be worth the health risks of stagnant fluids not to mention the lack of you know what. You can raise your t levels by squatting heavy weight, avoiding things like alcohol, etc. Raising your t levels should not be a goal in and of itself. If you are young, they are plenty high to make substantial gains if you have no health issues and do things right. If you are older and suspect low t, then get it tested by a real doc. I can guarantee you that if you do things right training wise, you will be far better off than anyone practicing celibacy for some obscure idea of higher t levels. Its probably just plain bro-science.

There are a thousand studies that state T levels are elevated after sex. Despite what mickey tells rocky.

    I choose to believe them.

    Yup, probably bro-science.

to be crude about it, the more sex you get the more sex you want, that must be elivated test

I can think of much more crude ways to express that thought. ;)I think too many worry about t levels and don't worry enough about how hard they are actually training or how they are eating. Even if you were taking powerful steroids, you still need to train hard and eat right to get results.

it came from a female ex-flatmate.

she admitted she made the study to get me to stop doing "it".

apparently its morally wrong in her book.

    woman be crazy some times

BTW thanks for the info and message steve

I've known a few women who I swear had higher t levels than I for practicing what Steve preached.
