No doubht that a good fighter should have the ability to defend or attack . And that alot depends on your opponents actions but what is YOUR personel prefence ATTACK or DEFEND?

a good defense will support a mediocre offense. I don't think the opposite is true. IMHO

    Interesting question.

Hard to answer, one without the other is a bit meaningless.

I've always been more defensive in sparring, but in any real situation defensivene techniques often go out of the window, so I'd have to say attack in that situation....

Hit hard and first is always good but a good defence is important

WW looks good in his new Avatar doesnt he??:D
Anyway I would say attack. If your always on the offense it leaves him no,or very little, chance to attack you.

    I guess i'm a lucky person

    I have a great defense.

The scary thing is my offense is 10 times better.:D

I've always had a good defense so i worked hard on my offense.

You can't win by being defensive.

But your offence needs a solid defensive structure.

You CAN win on pure offence.

You Can NOT win on pure defence

I'd say there is no preference. THere is no 'attack' and 'defend'. There is only the situation.

my ides is to offend while he is defending hit him so fast so he doesnt have time to hit you back all he can do is try to block you and like bruce lee who i agree with my defence is offence when they attack i see the vulnerable spot and hit them there.

Because of my personality, I find I'm much more defensive than offensive. I pick my spots for attack.

    I personaly believe in defence!
Because if ONE can't hit you he cannot harm you.
    So I train defence more
..BUT you cannot avoid atacks forever, so you must also train your
    defence.

In my school, TKD, we train to react to attacks mostly. Defend, then respond to the attack presented to you.
