Recently Van Damme admitted to "messing up a guy big time on the set of No Retreat No Surrender for his mouth" I wonder who it was , that movie sure featured real fighters like Pete Suguar Foot Cunningham. I bet he fought that cocky guy "Dean" who tried to take the main guys girl and fights him at the party. This movie sucks in my opinion. The acting is terrible. But what do you expect from a 1980s Van Damme flick.
Well to be honest, it wasn't even a Van Damme flick really. From what I remember of it he wasn't in it that much. A bit like Black Eagle.
The "star" was Kurt Mckinney. In fact without Van Damme it was just another 80's martial arts flick. It was Van Damme that stood out a mile in that film by being...well Van Damme
I watched it again a couple of months ago. It's much better viewed through 30 years of memories than watched in person again. Some 80's kung fu movies are still great to watch, this isn't one of them.
