Don't mention the biscuits! He can't be trusted with the biscuits! Since Simon took his break, Mitch and I have gained at least 10lbs each! We couldn't get over how many biscuits were in the Mod tea room!

That was fast. Welcome back for the first time for the last time. Sometimes the best way forward is to start all over. I'm sure somebody smart said that once.

I think we all know who the culprit is when it comes to the biscuits. SmartSelect_20190323-111313_Instagram.jpg

I am still trying to get used to the idea of cookies being called biscuits. Joys of being an American on a British based forum.

ah but to confuse the matter, we have cookies and biscuits.
It depends on how they are made and texture, generally speaking cookies are slightly soft and biscuits are hard/crunchy and come in a variety of types. E.g. the above us a custard cream :D

 Aw come on now! Why do you make it so complicated? And what do you call what we consider biscuits over here?

It's confusing for us brits too when Americans talk about biscuits and gravy !
Closest we have to your biscuit is probably a scone, but don't get us started in which way to say it or whether it's jam or cream first :)
Sometimes we have something similar on top of a pie, probably with gravy ( a far reaching similarity between us , lol ).
