   my norton anti virus keeps on stopping halfway through the scan, this hasnt happended b4. i think i may have a virus. any suggestions?

   Zone Alarm firewall has been known to cause "issues" with Norton. If you are using that, (If you aren't you should be) disconnect from the net, shut down ZA, run the AV scanner and reboot before reconnecting to the net.
