Haven't read the article yet. I wonder if they will recognise shin pads?

Also respectfully request that you change the Thai boxing forums name to "Muay Thai". You'll get more bits when people Google "muay thai forum" and also I feel it's more inclusive for Muay Boran if anyone ever starts a thread on it. I also wouldn't be opposed to the forum being called "Muay Thai/K-1" for things like GLORY.

    That's a good suggestion, we'll have a think :)

    I like it. !

I wonder if the Thais themselves would be banned from entering the Olympics?.

    IOC: Sorry but amateurs only
    Muayfolk: Yes. Only 200 fights.
    IOC: 200??
Muayfolk: Yes, I am 10 years old.

Yeah that is a problem. No amateurs in thailand.

We've done a check and it seems Thai Boxing actually yields the best search results.

Seems those outside the sport actually use the term Thai Boxing as their search term.

What about: Thai Boxing (Muay Thai)
    Or: Muay Thai (Thai Boxing)

After the recent Olympics which allowed professional boxers to enter, they probably will. Whether its fair or not is a different question.

Money on Baukaw to get Gold then.

Would they allow Yi Long to enter wearing his Shaolin pants?

Wushu/San Shou has been IOC recognised for 20+ years, still not looking likely to be in anytime soon
