"Fargo." It really bothers me how wonderfully that movie was made (it's flawless) because it's so bloomin' depressing, what with everyone dead! Well, dude did get his picture made into a stamp. That part was happy. But still! "Sword of Doom." It just ends. Stops. Over. In the middle of a massacre. And the lead character is not redeemed. I'm all, "What?! You can't stop now -- there's neither been justice nor redemption yet!"
Blue Velvet Cape Fear Night of the Hunter It's believably creepy characters that get to me. Hopper in Blue Velvet and Mitchum in Cape Fear and Night of the Hunter are that.
G, that avatar is so creepy. Some good ones here. I was about ten when the Exorcist came out and that scared the crap out of myself and my peers. It was like The Grudge or The Ring for my generation. There was another movie out around the same time called "Magic", never saw it but the tv ad. for it scared the crap out of us. The whole thing was a close-up of this creepy ventriloquist dummy talking to you. Deliverance was another shocker. Clockwork Orange, Apocalypse Now, Videodrome
I've yet to watch a movie that disturbed or scared me....I would love to find one that does. Maybe they breed us tough in Wales!? :Alien:
