This came up on my fb feed. It just looks dumb. I can’t see how using this thing would help you at all. 7F2521F5-311E-4A51-B7F2-06445651FFB1.jpeg

    Got one similar...

The ball is tied to his forehead?

Know a few guys who use this. Sure I've seen Lomachenko uses one too.

Meant to be great for hand eye coordination.

Does it differ much from having a tennis ball hanging down from the ceiling and using that?

Yeah, I think I saw Lomachenko using it, also Rockhold?

I used to hang a can of coke in a long sock and tie it high up, swing it, use it for head movement. (poor man Slip Bag)

At one point in time I had a tennis ball on a string. Same idea.

What did you tie it too? I’m really curious.

Patio roof has a few hooks suitable for hanging bird feeders or lightweight plants or such. I hung it from one of those hooks.

Dug out an old video of yours truly, and as stated above, it is a pretty decent tool for working on hand eye coordination, and for ensuring that you remain relaxed - Tension is your enemy with this thing.

surprisingly a really good tool. I first saw it shown by Ross Enamait, and I've seen a few other professionals.

There are a few other tools similar which help develop hand eye coordination - the others I saw Ross demonstrating was throwing 2 balls at a wall, or a ramp and catching.

I was weighting for someone to mention the shake weight. :D Weighting? No? Please yourselves...

The Beanie Basher is another variant of this reaction training idea, as used by Iain Abernethy of Karate bunkai fame.

If strap is affixed to your head it can't travel as far,so you don't have to chase it.

Difference is the ball on a string from ceiling is swung and used more as a moving target to evade, training footwork and body/head movement IME.

    Personally think what is ridiculous?

Paying £100+ for a fancy non watch to measure how many steps you take and what your heart rate is.

Its a free app on your phone people!
