It seems that things have been perculating along and now we are starting to see more discussion. There was quite a large discussion about the young boy who died after receiving a concussion in a rugby union cup game a couple of years ago. Now there are law suits and such happening in a number of other areas...

    NFL American Football- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-23885571

And now it's becoming described as an invisible plague! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-23980191

I hope that people are familiar with the signs of concussion and deal with their team mates/class mates/students appropriately. I'm hoping that this does not become a legacy of the boom in interest in contact combat sports.

The invisible plague I worry of is the plague of politicians enacting draconian legislation in the heat of a media feeding frenzy.
