just watched the new monkey magic film, in fact i didn't get all the way through it, got bored. and when you take into account what a huge monkey fan i am, having grown up watching the 70's tv show (infact this is part of the reason i took up martial arts) and having all 4 shaw bros film, the forbiden kingdom, the 2 stephen chow (chinese odessy) films, seen the recent stage play and read and loved the book, this comes as a great dissapointment to me
