Gutted to read this news. I conversed regularly with Moi ever since my early days on MAP, nearly 10 years ago. We agreed on a lot of areas, respectfully disagreed on a few, and even had some fun together trolling the Ninjutsu forum for a bit. I hope he has found the peace he sought wherever he may be. Rest easy, brother.
Wow, I'm actually stunned by the news. I was a Global Mod at the time Moi was in full flow and remember logging in and thinking "Oh dear, what's he done now?" but he's one of those who I'm sure I'd have got along with like a house on fire if we met offline. Rest in peace fella.
Very sad news! As with Medi and Koyo, you can very easily feel like you know someone if so much of their personality comes across in what they write.
I haven't been around in a while and was just lurking through the off topic when I saw this. Such sad news. Hope his family are well.
I haven't been on in forever. But Martial Dad was a prolific poster during my time here. I'm sorry to hear he's passed. Godspeed.
Like yourself his massive post count will keep him visible here forever. This year's MAP Meet will be in his memory.
Hiya Simon, long time no see mate. Hope all is well. It's a sad intro back to MAP that Martial Dad has moved on to the next leg of his journey. I have fond memories of him being here.
People often ask after you too, so having you reply on this thread will please a lot of the longer term members. Are you still well travelled? Where in the world are you now?
This year's MAP Meet was held in memory of Moi, supporting the charity MIND, which supports anyone with mental health issues. The wonderful people of MAP raised over £500 for the charity, and took a moment to raise a glass to Moi at the end of the day.
I was in contact with Moi's family after the MAP Meet to let them know that we had donated to MIND in remembrance of him. I got a message back that I thought I would share with you all, to let you know how much your generosity was appreciated. Hi Mitch Nice to hear from you and with such amazing news Wow, if only Moi realised what he meant to so many people, keep up the good work and finger crossed the support the MAP family can give will help those in need and save lives. All I can say Mitch, the MAP family are awesome. I have had some comments back from family already thanking you guys and girls supporting MIND and the ace pic of you lot Best wishes to you all and continued success to you Mitch good luck You did a good thing folks
