MMA Documentary Trailer Hey guys. I wanted to highlight a documentary a guy from my club is putting together on MMA. I'm pretty excited and can't wait to see the finished product. Granted, it may be because I know all of the guys in the trailer, and I may be biased, but I think he did an outstanding job on the trailer and I'm looking forward to seeing the full length documentary. The documentary follows three of the guys from my club, all of whom fight in MMA. http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=2038614885
LOL. Yeah right. The main guy is Coby. He's a blue belt in BJJ and I want to say a black belt in Judo, but I could be mistaken on that. He fought in the Tacomadome last month and won via kneebar (IIRC). Jeff is the short guy who was playing Wii with his kids. He's 135 soaking wet. When I mention the cardio freak, that's usually him. He's a purple belt in BJJ, trains MMA with us and I believe boxing elsewhere. Both have pro-mma records. And David is the ex-ranger with all the tattoos who mentions having been deployed 3 times. He moved to a different state and trains at another gym where he got his blue belt in BJJ. I'm the schlub who tries to stay out of their way when they train. Edit: I should add that they're all great to train with, very willing to encourage and teach you what they know.
hahaha... I see. But hey the upshot to that is.. training with guys like that will help you to up your game by loads compared to many of the places out there just training with hobby practitioners. Not that there's anything wrong with hobby practitioners... but there's an advantage to training in a fiercely competitive environment.
Can't wait to watch it, looks more like its actually about MMA people and reasons for it? Rather than just the glorified warrior kind of thing that seems to be shown in a lot of the TUF and stuff. Looks good
I'm going to be excited for its release. Maybe if more positive light can be shed on the MMA scene then guys like Bill O'Reilly will stop being so critical and idiotic about it (though I tend to doubt it.).
