The ability not to take life seriously all the time and view the world through the eyes of a child should not be underestimated mon ami

This is very good philosophy, Hannibal.

But you say in your teaching, "Punctuation is an artificial construct designed to enlsave and control the free." However, if we ignore such a construct, we are only accepting its previous existence, and thus our chains are only more securely fastened.

When I train, I only use training mind.
    No jokes.
It is what works best for me.

When I converse, I have conversation mind, this meme that is now talking to you directly.
To say one meme is better than other is disaster.
We are in chains when we say this, invisible chains.

This is good dialogue we have now.
I have sent a second request to remove my thread so as to avoid more upsets to the forum culture. Cessation of the wind, this is profitable, no?

In every statement there is jest and truth - but some more than others

When you train you should not isolate mind, body and spirit but seek an alchemy of the three - only then will you be able to truly be in the "now" rather than lingering in the "then" or dreaming of the "possible", these latter states being afflictions you have no control over.

    Dear Friend Hannibal,

Thank you for teaching me your mind.
    But what is mind?

I am fond of Mark Pagel's reliance upon Locke's empty slate metaphor. When coming into being, there is only breath, but then Pagel's thesis--like Locke's--has us wired for culture (though Locke used different words). No matter where, we bloom with the meme we are born into.

I like your meme, sir. It nods towards the psychological alchemy of Jung. Jung meme is good meme, I think. But like the old saw about the blind men and the elephant, one proclaims an elephant is a "trunk"; the other says, "no, an elephant is like tail." And so one. I think this is our trap here in my personal thread.

We are both trapped by a meme.
    Only no freedom.
Only interlocked, man to man, by meme.
    How funny we are.
    3X1=3, or so we demand.

Martial training is good today, thanks to you.
I value and respect your cannibalistic needs.

    Dear Seventh,

It seems I have offended even you.
    Why?
    I only do not know.

Please teach me with the compassionate heart.

    Yours,
    Mi-gong.

    Greets Seventh,

We are getting closer to the offense now, or so it seems. I think I see the problem. My martial meme is antithetical to the current martial meme of the forum. I see now, clearly.

The adjective you used is "BS."

But I assure you, I am like the rest of you. I have taken my knocks in fights, knocked people around, and eaten bitter food on the path. I sweat just as all of you do, and etc. But it is the direction of my "mind" that is perhaps....offensive? There are advantages to being a recluse, but also, as it seems...vital weaknesses.

Once again, I apologize, now to you.
I am currently awaiting the closing of this tread. I have reported it twice to the thread keeper. But until then, I shall give a warm welcome to all guests who wander in.

But out of curiosity, it's what I am made of, if you are a non-hippy (and I am assuming you mean some archetype like a flower child?), what is your favorite meme?

    In compassion,
    Mi-gong.

I favour "righteously indignant" typically...especially when having a ruck

    Hello Hannibal.

Again, your short posts do not tell the all.
But I welcome you openly anyway.

I am many things, but I am not "righteous" (if that adjective was meant for me). I do not deserve that term. But am I sensing you see righteousness as a negative? English is such a beautiful language. We can have a "righteous person" and in the next second a "righteous person," yet with an added context or taint.

    1x1=1 it seems.

So what meme developed your context?

Is this not a journal? A log? In such places, open conversation is allowed and even, in some corners of the old Net, looked forward to in earnest. So come forth, share while we yet have time here.

You said in another post that "the new" is often feared.
This is true, is it not?

    Ahhh, Humanity!
You excel above the ape for your ability to see, to grasp an idea, and make it yours.
But, Humanity, it is your weakness as well.

    But again....you...me....we are now training.
    Mimetic culture to the max.
    Yes?

    Hello Hannibal!

    I see.

Then can we explore your "righteously indignant" frame?
    Why so indignant?
Explore, expand, transcend if you wish. What expectations are being denied?
I am here to listen....until I have to go to work that is:)

    Yours,
    Mi-gong

I am at work...usually that I why I am indignant. Most of my "clients" do not appreciate the finer things in life.....

    Hey Hannibal!

I am sorry for them of course. I find you to be quite the intellectual.
I am happy and honored to have met you, even in this long eve of my thread.
Feel free to message me for my email if you wish further friendship.

    Hiya Killa_Gorillas!

Welcome to my thread, while it lasts.
Sorry, I do not know this Fire Quan guy. Do I remind you of him? If so, why the comparison?
Was he a friend of yours?
Sounds as though he passed on.

Seems as though our topic today is....just talking.
Feel free to chat, welcome me, etc.

    Yours too,
    Mi-gong

    Well Hello, Allers.

Thank you for the welcome on my log.
I like Bill Cosby too...seems like he's been around since forever.
Our thread today is philosophical memes.
What meme are you partial too in your day to day life?

Mi-gong, this is hardly a training log. Post something constructive, or don't bother posting.
