I was listening to an interview with a classical violinist the other night (as you do) and she was talking about Bach, and how she thinks some of his stuff sounds like proto-Bluegrass. You can hear that with the Piccinini Chiaconna piece, I think. Just musing...
Bach is very cool, his music is mathematically correct ( so I'm told)......there is a tale that Motzart played all of Bach's music on piano everyday, and that Beethoven played all of Bach's music and all of mozart's..............Whatever , I love Bach.and also Schubert who I believe is seriously underated ( personal opinio).but IMHO Bach is yer man
That is a beast of a guitar. Nice music though, not someone who listens to this sort of thing but it was very, for want of a better word, pretty.
I'm not really 'into' classical/medieval music in a geeky way...but I do enjoy putting on Radio 3, or an internet radio channel, and just enjoying the vibe. I do like baroque and choral stuff, though, as a preference. That probably means I'm into it in a geeky way, huh?
I like the more tavern/entertainer-versions of medieval music. There are many funny versions of old carmina burana songs, and other old stuff.
