    1 hour sword. all iaito-basic batta ho's and happo giri. Hakama fell out of my bag, so I felt rather naked without it. :/

    Got a new stretching strap thing and began playing with it. :D

    Performance no. 1. Went quite well. Pity the stage lights were so blinding...I missed a cue. :p Hopefully it will turn out better Saturday.

    Saturday's performance went swimmingly. Got many compliments after. :)

    Last day of modern dance today, so not much to do. The media ensemble director brought his presentation in-just the open house from a few months ago. I played around with the wireless controller thing a while-running, jumping, shadow boxing, etc.

    So far, a few speedbag rounds. Some ni tanbo and bo kata... Ended day with 1 hour sword. Toyama ryu kata 1-4, Shinkendo all Ichimonji level kata, some box sparring-did some instruction for my rohai who hasn't done sparring before.

    Seems like it'd be a great fit for you since it blends two of your passions (martial arts and dance).

    I mean, if someone ever found a way to combine kung fu and cooking, I'd be all over that! :D

    Not at the moment. I'm considering adding it to my classload in the spring. :hat:

    I bet if you could prepare a meal or dish (maybe slice something whilst doing a sword form? :D ) while doing one of your long forms it would be pretty nifty. :D :hat:

    Tried a free gymnastics class (coupon). Did tranpoline, rolls. Began learning back flips, but jammed left ring finger. :( Seeing doc in the AM.

    Just a walk round the block in the evening. This healing business is always REMARKABLY boring. :p My knackered finger has been in a splint the last few days and will be for a while. Can't do much of anything in this condition. :( :'(

    Been stir crazy, so last night-jogged 'round the block. That bugged my shins, so this afternoon I went to a track down the road for another jog round the softball field. A city block or so, I reckon. Still not enjoying this healing business, but it's good to improve running and cardio.
