Lau Kar-Leung has passed away after losing the battle with leukemia, he was 75 years old. If you were into the old school movies of Shaw Bros, he was either in front of the camera or behind it, choreographing moves that many later (and yes including myself) would probably try and imitate. Sifu Lau started his stunt work early, mentioning it was a time when stuntmen were seen as "the lowest of the low". They were paid meager prices and were given dirty clothing to wear. Now he's was one of the most respected old old school masters around. Without him and others like Gordon Liu, there wouldn't have been those like Jackie or Sammo... RIP Lau sifu, you will be missed. My deepest condolences to his wife, 2 daughters, friends, associates and students. Many cite Enter the Dragon as their inspiration to the MA, others will say David Carradine in Kung Fu, and yet others will say The Karate Kid, but for me besides Enter the Dragon, 36th Chamber of Shaolin aka Master Killer/Shaolin Master Killer will hold a special place in my heart. Doh jeh for the inspirations and memories Lau sifu.
