This thread is dedicated to videos of my 2 favorite old school JKD guys. Larry Hartsell (R.I.P.) and Richard Bustillo. Larry Hartsell - old school JKD grappling. I don't think he allows videotaping of his training sessions or seminars: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTaA6e17OxE"]RICHARD BUSTILLO. LA ENTREVISTA. - YouTube[/ame] He rocks!
Seriously? No one has any interest in Larry Hartsell and Richard Bustillo? No one learns from any of their students or from them? No one is interested in busting out some sweet clips of the 2 best fighters of that generation of Bruce Lee students? Here's a lockflow clip from Larry Hartsell's lineage. I don't think it's him demonstrating it, but it's his stuff, or at least looks like what we learn. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiWCQqylzro"]YouTube[/ame]
Great video clips, My instructor and his instructor have both trained with Sifu Larry, and its good to see where they get their training from.
My teacher learned from Larry Hartsell and Richard Bustillo. Sifu Hartsell was an excellent dude by all accounts.
I know this is old but just wanted to say I am going to spend five hours tomorrow with Richard Bustillo (with a bunch of other peeps!!!) Half the time focusing on Muay Thai the rest JKD Am totally stoked. Hope I don't look like an idiot!!!!! Simon
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPFm5-F1tPQ&feature=related"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPFm5-F1tPQ&feature=related[/ame] Larry was a legend - one of my colleagues trained with him and was so upset by his passing he stopped his training. He basically said he could not imagine anyone filling the void. That is a testament to how much Larry touched people. According to Inosanto and Vu, Larry was better as a fighter than anyone in JKD. I can believe it
