Kuk Sool / Muye Dobo Tongji?

My question is this: Did the Muye Dobo Tongji influence Kuk Sool Hwe/Kuk Sool Won in anyway when they developed their sword forms and maybe some unarmed methods? The reason I ask is because some KSW hyungs seem somewhat similar to those illustrated in the MDT.
Is there any merit to this? Did those in the Kuk Sool Hwe look to the Muye Dobo Tongji for inspiration?

Well I'm surprised as many views as this got that nobody wants to have a discussion. Disappointing to say the least.

This has been discussed in depth multiple times. No, the MYDBTJ played little to no role in the creation of Kuk Sool. I have studied the MYDBTJ and still train it's forms and weapons and I can say the principles and even the way the feel of the material shows no connection to MYDBTJ.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I apologize if this topic seems beat to death.
Anyway, how would you say the 'feeling' is different between Kuk Sool material and MYDBTJ? Also, from the MYDBTJ, what would you say is some of your favorite material from that curriculum and why?

MYDBTJ is more about straight foreward attack while Kuk Sool has more of a flowery feel to it. Much found in MYDBTJ is about tight quarters combat and stream lined attacks.

I enjoy the Wohl Do form much more than the one I was taught for Kuk Sool (which is not the one the Suh family practices, to the best of my knowledge) as well as the empty handed form. The weapons are a bit repetitive in MYDBTJ and much is based off of Wae Gum (Japanese Sword) which was modified to meet the Korean mindset/landscape.

    Is Wohl Do a Halbred?
Do you know any MYDBTJ schools in the U.S?
MYDBTJ, it has only 1 or 2 unarmed forms, doesn't it?
I'm sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to carry on a conversation while learn at the same time.

Wohl Do (moon knife) is essentially a halbred, yes. I know of no instructors in the USA though there are a few people that have trained in the material. Shoot me a PM and I'll send you some weapon forms done very slowly that you might be able to pick up on your own.

I've tried to send you a PM, but whenever I click on your profile name I only have 3 options and they are:
View Public Profile, Find all posts by Hyeongsa, and
    Add Hyeongsa to Your Contacts.

I'll eventually get this figured out. So thank you very much for any and all help that you are offering. Very kind of you. :)

I think you have to have a certain number of posts to use the PM function.
