    i want to ask, what throw is this at 2:16. I remember the teacher demonstrating this to us but it was a while ago.

    confused me because the hips were so low, basically looked like the bottom of a squat position, while ive only seen morote with higher hip placement.

    I've watched this several times, may have linked it on my Training Log, but just in case not, there is so much crammed in here that I could work on for my newaza it would keep me busy for months or more. It looks like a snippet from a professionally made video/dvd. Does anyone know, are there subtitles? Even without you can learn something from this

    really love those effortless looking ippons. unfortunately, i have a hard time implementing myself. lol. now is that one hiza guruma?

    According to the vid, it's sasae tsurikomi ashi. Not that I'd know one of those if it bit me.

    I'd hate to disagree with the japanese commentators but it looks more like a ... no just checked my BJA book, the foot is definately closer to the ankle than knee so not a hiza guruma :p
