Two of my guy's that reside in Alma Michigan went at it again in the cage!

Jose Prieto and Mike Hammer were in the cage again last night for some local MMA action in Alma, Michigan.

Check out the results on our IRT blog: The Instinctive Edge

There are a couple of really good video clips at the bottom of the blog featuring their matches last month!

Great Job Jose and Mike keep on doing what you love!

Nice job by the Hammer. I wish they would legalize MMA in NY. We either have to go underground or out of state to cage fighting.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Hey Tom that is to bad. In Michigan they have legal amature contests that can happen anywhere. Of course on the Indian lands at their casinos they can have professional matches. Right now you would probably find four to ten matches happening every weekend throughout the state due to the popularity of MMA and the profitability for those holding them.

Brian quick question for you... what is Mike Hammer's base art? He doesn't strike me as Muay Thai or Boxing background. The way he leaves that one arm out front when they're squared up suggests some sort of other traditional background? Karate? Kung Fu?

He pulled of a hell of a win. He showed a lot of heart and kept his head on. Well done and congratulations to him. That is soooooooo much harder than it looks. Big props from me on sticking to it and pulling a win out of it. Well done!

    Hey Slipthejab,

Mike started in Aikido and after a year or so moved over to Instinctive Response Training and has been training with us for a little over three years.
