I was told that Tommy Carruther's Jeet Kun Do club near the SECC is pretty good.

    Anybody agree or disagree?

I've been informed that its good but damn expensive.

My mate used to study there but do to studying requirements couldnt keep it up. He is literally a skelf and JKD is the first style that he's tried that he has found effective.

If anyone knows if the costs have fallen recently give me a shout so that I get in touch with him and let him know.

Tommy has excellent knowledge of the period of JKD he is teaching. In the manner of Krause brothers though, you will often receive instruction by a junior instructor until you break into the inner circle. Don't expect P's and Q's though, from what I saw Tommy's emphasis was on what really works, and he pulls no punches. Not for very young kids, but a very technically accomplished chap. As to costs.........hey it's hard to make a living teaching martial arts, but you can buy a lot of **** for a tenner!
