No sorry, well not Jujutsu anyway, but out of curiosity why do you want to know? Are you after a specific style or method of teaching?
No not looking for anything, I'm a GBK member and happy with my training. I was speaking to a friend last night, and he asked 'Why do all the Japanese masters stay in Japan' to which I replied 'They don't, Tanemura Sensei came to the UK in 2010, and lots of times before that, other Shihan, and Sensei do the same' - He then asked, so how come none of them stay? Thinking about it, I couldn't put my finger on a single Japanese Sensei of any art in the UK - so just wondered if anyone else knew of any.
There are a number of Japanese Wado sensei who live in the UK - and have been for a long time. Shiomitsu Masafumi, Sakagami Kuniaki and Sugasawa sensei - spring to mind straight away. I know the JKA England (Shotokan Group) also has Ohta sensei here. Gary
Not many Japanese people settle in the UK. Not may Japanese people know any jujutsu. The group fulfil both criteria is tiny. Nevertheless, it does happen. There is Daiwa ryu in Suffolk, run by a Japanese migrant to the UK.
This seems to be where Mr Ohta teaches: http://www.budokwai.co.uk/karate/se...intermediate_advanced_karate/your_instructors
