I have seen at different places and dojos that some places have it as their name and then title and some have it switched, like sensei bob or bob sensei, i always thought that sensei or any title was supposed to come after the name or does it matter? this may sound like a completely stupid question to some but it was always just something i wondered
As a Japanese title it should only be used in the Japanese sense, ie after the name (Ideally the surname, but some people like to sound like English teachers in Japan..). As a Japanese title, if it comes first, then the person using it doesn't know enough about the use of Japanese and what works..And it makes them look very silly.. Name first, title second if there is one..And there usually is..
