a japanese jitsu term meaning? my sensai mentioned it. we are trying to get it in japanese lettering and to use it for a new club badge, anyone able to help me out? i train in TJF style jitsu. rotters
技 Skill, art, technique 腹 Meaning stomach ("Centre" perhaps?) 心 Meaning "heart" or "mind"..."Will" perhaps.. I've not heard those three used in the same sentence before however, although perhaps 心技体 (Shingitai) is what was meant? (Unity of heart, form, and body).... Those are the kanji you're looking for though, and the meaning...Although, like I say, I've not heard them used together in that way... Regards..
Could it be a reference to some form of meditation? Putting your mind in your centre. In a martial arts context, hara is normally used in the 'focus on your hara' context.
